New flame

My life has been full

Of discontentment and sadness

I felt alone and miserable

I listened to all the negative talk

And placed them in my heart

It nearly gave me a heart attack

Almost killed me

There seemed to be no hope

No end

Not even a flicker of light at

The end of the long, winding tunnel

The darkness had eaten into my soul

 I nearly gave up

Then in walks Jesus

He holds my hand and tells me

He loves me, says he proud of me after all

The wrong I’ve done

Words I’ve never heard my dad say

I didn’t even realized that I was in the light

And what a wonderful feeling that was

He said he’d never leave me

And all I needed was His word

The light in my tunnel

The dawn in my darkness

He put in my heart a new flame

A new flame

That’s the kind of person HE is

He’s my flame for life

JESUS.
